A breakout game for one UNC rookie!

North Carolina has some really good former players in the league. Many are starters and continue to impress, however, a couple of them had rough weeks. This is a weekly article that will run all season long.

Pro Heels

Sam Howell- 19 of 29 passes completed for 170 yards, one rush for 18 yards. Was sacked nine times. Commanders lost to the Bills.

Mack Hollins- One catch for 13 yards. Falcons lost to the Lions.

Javonte Williams- 11 rushes for 42 yards, two catches for 23 yards. Broncos lost to the Dolphins.

Michael Carter- One catch for 3 yards. Jets lost to the Patriots.

Ty Chandler- 3 rushes for 27 yards, one catch for 4 yards. Vikings lost to the Chargers.

Josh Downs- 8 catches for 57 yards. Colts beat the Ravens.

Dyami Brown- Had one tackle. Commanders lost to the Bills.

Cole Holcomb- Five tackles, one tackle for loss, one pass deflection. Steelers beat the Raiders.

Top Performance

With a backup quarterback playing, Josh Downs had his best game yet. He caught eight of his 12 targets. Downs was always shifty at UNC and his speed and burst helped him get away from defenders. Downs is becoming one of the Colts best options and is just three games into his NFL career.

Hopefully next week will be better for these pro Heels and they will see more wins!
