UNC Pros: NFL Week 2 Stats and Performances

UNC pros had another good week!

There were some really good performances for North Carolina’s pro players this week. A few of them played major roles in their teams games. We will be updating this weekly!

Pro Heels

Sam Howell: 27/39 passing for 299 yards and 2 touchdowns, 2 rushes for 13 yards. Commanders beat the Broncos.

Mack Hollins: 3 catches for 60 yards. Falcons beat the Packers.

Javonte Williams: 12 rushes for 44 yards, 2 catches for 14 yards. Broncos lost to the Commanders.

Michael Carter: 2 rushes for 8 yards, 1 catch for 3 yards, 1 tackle. Jets lost to the Cowboys.

Ty Chandler: 1 rush for no gain, 2 catches for 9 yards. Vikings lost to the Eagles.

Josh Downs: 4 catches for 37 yards. Colts beat the Texans.

Dyami Brown: 3 catches for 25 yards. Commanders beat the Broncos.

Antoine Green: 1 catch for 2 yards. Lions lost to the Seahawks.

M.J. Stewart: 10 tackles, 6 solo. Texans lost to the Colts.

Cole Holcomb: 8 tackles, 3 solo, 1 tackle for loss. Steelers beat the Browns.

Top Performances

Sam Howell led the Commanders to a great win over the Broncos. He made very few mistakes and had his best game as a pro.

M.J. Stewart was all over the field racking up tackles.

Reunited

After the Commanders beat the Broncos, Howell and Williams got together for a jersey swap and photo. The former teammates were a great duo at UNC and helped lead the Tar Heels to the Orange Bowl.
