It was a big weekend for UNC football.
North Carolina held its spring game on Saturday. As is always the case with this inter-squad scrimmage, some of the players being recruited by the Tar Heels are in attendance. This gives them a chance to catch a game, mingle on campus, and gain some familiarity. A few recruits must’ve been impressed, as they committed to the program.
Newest Tar Heels
UNC gained four commitments, one of which was a transfer.
- Joshua Harris: A defensive tackle transfer who was originally at NC State and spent last season with Ole Miss. He has played five seasons of college football, and tallied 13 tackles.
- Devin Ancrum: 3-star defensive tackle from Hoschton, Georgia. 247Sports lists him at 6’2, 295-pounds.
- Anthony Kruah: 3-star edge rusher from Marietta, Georgia. He is listed as the #562-best player in his class at 6’2, 210-pounds.
- Austin Alexander: 4-star defensive lineman from Burlington, Kentucky. At 6’3, 243-pounds, he is currently ranked as the 382nd-best player in his class.
Current Class
These additions have bumped North Carolina up to the #16 class for 2025. There are currently 10 total commitments, two being 4-stars and eight being 3-stars. It is a solid start to a class that is not close to being complete. With a full season ahead, there is sure to be movement on the recruiting front.
Congratulations to these four, and welcome to Chapel Hill!
