UNC’s pros are at it again.

Another NFL week is in the books, and one former Tar Heel got his first touchdown catch as a pro! Sam Howell is in good standing with Commanders fans and is setting records for their franchise.

Pro Heels

Sam Howell: 14 of 23 passes completed for 151 yards and three touchdowns. Commanders beat the Falcons.

Mack Hollins: Three catches for 41 yards. Falcons lost to the Commanders.

Josh Downs: Five catches for 21 yards and his first NFL touchdown! Colts lost to the Jaguars.

Javonte Williams: 10 rushes for 52 yards. Broncos lost to the Chiefs.

Michael Carter: One rush for five yards. Jets beat the Eagles.

M.J. Stewart: Three solo tackles. Texans beat the Saints.

Top Performance

Sam Howell is again putting the Commanders in a winning position. He has impressed Commanders fans, and outside of one bad game, has looked like the future of the team. Currently sitting at 3-3, they have a shot to make a run. The big problem has been how much Howell has been sacked. He is constantly under pressure, and it has cost Washington at times. If the team can build a better offensive line for the future, Howell can lead the team to success.

As the season grinds on, we will update you weekly on how UNC’s pros are doing!
