UNC commit Jordan Shipp had an unbelievable first game.
4-star North Carolina commit Jordan Shipp may add that fifth star soon enough. He even tweeted, “I’m coming for that fifth star…” Shipp dominated in Providence Day’s first game of the season.
Game One
Facing off against Northwestern (SC), the Providence Day Chargers had a big lead for most of the game. In just the first half, Shipp had seven catches for 158 yards and a touchdown. He followed that with another great half of football, where he finished the game catching 13 passes for 234 yards and three touchdowns! No one could cover him, and he did pretty much whatever he wanted on the field. Throwing the ball to him is long-time UNC target and Michigan commit Jadyn Davis. The two are clearly in rhythm right off the bat.
Rating
Shipp is a 4-star, rated as the 428th best player in the country. But after a performance like that, he looks to get a boost. Consistently having games similar to the one last night will be key to him getting his fifth star. The school they faced, Northwestern, is usually a powerhouse in South Carolina. The competition may be easier from here, leading to these stat lines every game.
Shipp is only going to continue to rise as he has big performances like this!
