Another hit to the UNC offense.
When Andre Greene Jr. committed to North Carolina, it was a huge win for the Tar Heels. They beat out Clemson for his talents and added another playmaker to a very good wide receiver room. He was one of the best wideouts in the 2022 class and further solidified that UNC was dominating recruiting in Virginia.
Big Piece
Greene was supposed to be a big player for the Tar Heels. Instead, he rarely saw the field. UNC has been loaded at his position for years, but he wasn’t given much playing time. Now, Greene will head elsewhere to show off his talent. He was raved about in the offseason for his ability to make plays. In his two seasons at Carolina, Greene caught five passes for 43 yards and a touchdown.
As a Recruit
Greene was a 4-star, ranked 102nd in the country. He was also the second-best player in Virginia. Standing at 6’2, 200 pounds, Greene has the build to be a top wide receiver. He is big for his position and has the speed to be a deep threat. Greene ultimately chose UNC over Clemson.
Greene is yet another recruit from Virginia who has decided to transfer. That pipeline that landed the Tar Heels so much talent is now struggling.
Good luck in your future, Andre!
