Happy for Myles!

North Carolina defensive lineman Myles Murphy has declared for the NFL draft. He saw a lot of playing time, even after fighting his way back from injury. The North Carolina native was consistent throughout his four years with the program.

Time at UNC

Murphy got playing time during all four seasons with UNC.

2020: 8 tackles, 1 sack.

2021: 38 tackles, 4 sacks.

2022: 29 tackles, 1 sack.

2023: 23 tackles, 1 sack, 1 fumble recovery.

Declaring for the NFL Draft

In his post, Murphy had this to say: “Tar Heel Nation, Thank you for an incredible four years at the University of North Carolina. Representing my hometown of Greensboro and graduating from this prestigious school is such an honor for me and my family. I want to thank all of my coaches along the way, especially Coach Cross for helping me get prepared for the next level and Coach Brown and Coach Galloway for recruiting me to join this special place. I am declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft and look forward to putting on that Carolina jersey one more time in the bowl game. To all the Tar Heel fans that supported me along the way, I thank you and I promise I will represent Carolina for years to come. It’s been an honor.”

As a Recruit

Out of high school, Murphy was listed as a 6’4, 280-pound defensive lineman from Dudley, North Carolina. He was a 4-star, and ranked 149th in the 2020 class

Best of luck in your future, Myles!
