North Carolina commit Ian Jackson will be on his official visit to UNC this weekend! The shooting guard from the Bronx, New York, is an unbelievable talent. A dynamic player who can score at will, Jackson is primed to be a superstar. Although rumors have swirled regarding his commitment, he has stated multiple times that they are false and that he will be in Chapel Hill next season.
What to Know
- Jackson is a 5-star prospect, ranked 10th overall in the 2024 class.
- He has dominated at every level.
- Jackson won the Slam! MVP award in a game filled with elite high school talent, scoring 45 points.
- He works out with pro trainer Chris Brickley, where he is challenged by NBA players.
- Jackson played on the Junior National Team this summer.
Jackson surprised many when he chose UNC over long time favorite, Kentucky. His visit changed the whole recruitment. Now taking his senior year official visit, all eyes will be on Jackson to see if he signs during the early signing period. This has been an interesting recruitment to watch unfold, and hopefully, there are no more twists along the way. UNC and Jackson will be a great pairing before all is said and done!
The early signing period starts on November 8th. Will Jackson lock in his National Letter of Intent?
