Coach Davis did not have time for a break!

Following North Carolina’s big win over Syracuse, head coach Hubert Davis went on the recruiting trail. There was no time for rest, as he traveled all the way to Springfield, Massachusetts, for the Hoophall Classic. Davis watched a top player in the 2025 class who has already visited Chapel Hill.

Who Did Davis Watch?

The Hoophall Classic is loaded with talent this year. Davis went to watch Perry and 2025 5-star Koa Peat. He is one of the best players in his class, and recently put out a top 10 schools list that included UNC. Peat is listed by 247Sports as the #4 player in the 2025 class. He is a 6’8, 235-pound power forward from Gilbert, Arizona. The Tar Heels have been on him for some time. In the game, Peat scored 23 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and blocked seven shots.

The Blowout

Davis coached his team to a 103-67 win over Syracuse. It was the biggest ACC loss ‘Cuse had ever suffered. North Carolina put in a complete performance on both sides of the ball and dominated throughout. Five minutes into the game, you could tell the Tar Heels had an edge. It seems as if this team has something to prove and show it in every game. When the rankings come out tomorrow, UNC will likely be in the top five.

Coach Davis is relentless in his pursuit!
