Another blowout in Chapel Hill.
North Carolina got up early on Syracuse and kept its foot on the gas. The Tar Heels put together maybe their most complete game of the year, where everyone on the team got to play. It was dominance from start to finish, and everyone got biscuits in the process.
Dominant on Both Sides
Not only did North Carolina crush the Orange on offense, but smothered them on defense as well. Syracuse shot 36.5% on the day and just 21.1% from three. UNC forced 17 turnovers and blocked four shots. The Heels also had seven steals, five of which were by RJ Davis. Only three Syracuse players scored in double digits,
Speaking of Davis, he continued his All-American campaign today with 22 points in just 27 minutes. Another player who had a great game in limited minutes? Armando Bacot. He scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in 17 minutes. Elliot Cadeau shredded Syracuse when they played zone with a couple of great passes. Harrison Ingram continues to make a huge impact. He scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, three assists, and two steals. UNC got production off the bench as well. Jalen Washington scored 11 points, and Jae’Lyn Withers scored 10. Both grabbed six rebounds. Meanwhile, Seth Trimble finished with nine points.
Another win to keep the Tar Heels undefeated in ACC play!
