Sam Howell has impressed in camps this Summer!
With the NFL season quickly approaching, Sam Howell is receiving high praise.
His Play
Sam Howell: Not only has Howell impressed fans at camp, but his teammates are also raving about his ability. He has made the right reads and knows where to put the ball for his guys.
Washington Commanders star wide receiver Terry McLaurin told ESPN’s Ryan Clark: “There were a couple deep balls that I had to accelerate for. I had gotten so used to having to slow up and try to high point the ball.”
Center Nick Gates said “He’s an athlete. He looks to make plays. I feel like his pocket presence is good. He can throw the ball well on the run.”
Rookie cornerback Emmanuel Forbes told Scott Abraham that “Sam is really good. He knows how to place the ball well. He knows how to take control of the offense.”
Sam has certainly looked the part. His team and coaches seem to trust him to make the plays. From clips circulating on Twitter, the offense looks smooth and not overly restrictive. Should the Commanders roll with Howell in week one, that shows their level of confidence in the second-year quarterback. In due time, we will see how well Sam Howell’s college game transferred to the NFL!
