Congrats to Cedric!

North Carolina linebacker Cedric Gray has declared for the 2024 NFL draft. He played almost every snap of every game. A key member of the defense during his time, Gray is finally going to live his dream!

Time with UNC

Gray progressed and turned into one of the best linebackers in the country during his time at UNC. After only getting three tackles his freshman year, he became a star as a sophomore.

2020: 3 tackles.

2021: 99 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 2 interceptions.

2022: 144 tackles, 1 sack, 3 forced fumbles, 2 interceptions.

2023: 121 tackles, 5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 1 interception.

As you can see, Gray was very good for the Tar Heels. He won multiple awards and accolades. He will likely be selected in the first four rounds of the NFL draft. He has good size for a linebacker and has shown his ability to be versatile.

As a Recruit

Gray was a 6’2, 205 pound linebacker out of Charlotte, North Carolina. He was listed as a 3-star and the 644th-best player in his class. North Carolina was his only power 5 offer!

In Gray’s post about leaving, he thanked his coaches, fans, academic support staff, family, and teammates. He has been awesome for UNC and will have everyone cheering him on.

Congrats Cedric and best of luck in your future!
