Love had nice things to say about UNC.

Former North Carolina and current Arizona guard Caleb Love recently did an interview with John Fanta of Fox Sports. In it, he talked about his journey, problems, and love for UNC. Although he has moved on, he is doing great things, and Tar Heel fans all over are rooting for him.

Talking about UNC

The interview that Fanta did with Love is full of great quotes. You get an inside look at how everything played out and the struggles Love went through. When asked about Armando Bacot’s quote, “Sometimes in life, you’ve got to get divorced. You have to do things like that. Caleb is like the wife you divorced, but you still have a kid together.”

Love responded by saying, “That was a crazy statement, I’m not going to lie. Just the way he worded it-but I love ‘Mando. I miss him. I’m still rooting for every single one of those dudes, even the ones who transferred into the program. I’m still rooting for them. I’m still tapped into those guys, and I try to stay in touch when I can. I wish the best for North Carolina.”

Clearly, he still cares for the program and former teammates.

Flourishing at Arizona

Now with Arizona, one of the best teams in the nation, Love is leading the charge. He leads the team in scoring and is averaging more assists than he did in any season with UNC. He is also shooting the ball at a higher percentage and rebounding more. If you remember, when the Wildcats faced Duke in Durham, Love wore shoes with writing that said “Tar Heel 4L,” a nod to his past.

Hopefully, both North Carolina and Caleb have very successful futures!
