Manek has been playing well in other countries!

Former Tar Heel Brady Manek has found a nice career for himself overseas. He started in Australia and played really well, but now plays with Zalgiris Kaunas in the Lithuanian basketball league (also a part of the international Euroleague). Manek became a legend in his lone year with North Carolina, helping lead the team to a national title appearance.

Injury Update

According to eurohoops.net, Manek is expected to miss the next month with a right knee injury. After an opponent fell on his leg in the third quarter of a recent game, he immediately left the game. Manek is expected back after Christmas. This season, he averaged 7.3 points and 3.3 rebounds for the club, shooting 46.3 percent from three.

Tar Heel Days

Manek was North Carolina’s biggest threat from three during his season with the team. He averaged 15.1 points and 6.1 rebounds that year. Throughout the season, Manek was a leader for the team, providing fire and being a spark during games. In the NCAA tournament, he scored 28 points against Marquette, 26 against Baylor (was ejected during the second half), 13 against UCLA, 19 against St. Peters, 14 against Duke, and 13 in the title game against Kansas.

His fire and ability to knock down big shots made him a fan favorite.

Manek is set for a long career in basketball!
