Drake Maye played great in UNC’s last win!
What a game by the North Carolina quarterback. Drake Maye made big throws, short throws, ran the ball, and threw a touchdown pass with his left hand! What can’t he do? There is a reason Maye is looked at as one of the top players in the coming NFL draft. Let’s take a look at how he played Saturday!
Stats
In this game, Maye really showed off his skillset. He hit a deep throw to J.J. Jones, was accurate underneath all night, and made the right plays. His ability to move in and out of the pocket has made Maye hard to stop.
- Passing- He finished the night completing 22 of his 30 pass attempts for 296 yards and a touchdown.
- Rushing- Removing yards lost on sacks, Maye rushed five times for 30 yards and two touchdowns.
Left-Handed Touchdown Throw
On the Pitt 7-yard line, Maye scrambled to his right, taking a hit from two defenders, and threw the ball left-handed toward the back of the endzone to Kobe Paysour. It was an incredible play that set social media off. After the touchdown, Maye stared at his left hand in celebration. That kind of creativity makes Maye look unstoppable, and he might be.
Maye is a generational talent that can’t be taken for granted.
