UNC loses another one.

Portal season is here, and with a few already entered, the Tar Heels lost another one today. That is the name of the game in college sports right now. Get ready for a few more.

In and Out

Kicker Ryan Coe has entered the transfer portal. He only played in two games this season before going out with an injury. Coe transferred to UNC last offseason from Cincinnati, where he had been very good, making over 80% of his kicks. With the Tar Heels, Coe was solid before his injury.

South Carolina: Against the Gamecocks in the opener, Coe made his field goal try and all four of his extra-points.

App State: Against App, he looked good but then missed the kick that would have won North Carolina the game in regulation. UNC would go on to win in double overtime anyway.

Coe will now look to move on to his third team. Hopefully, he will find what he is looking for, and it will be the right situation for him. Good luck Ryan!

Another Chance

His injury allowed last season’s starter, Noah Burnette, to get another chance. Burnette was amazing, making 94.7% of his field goals and every extra point. His last miss was against Georgia Tech.

UNC may look to grab another kicker from the portal.
