What a game from UNC!

North Carolina went into Durham and swept Duke. In a game that they weren’t favored in, the Tar Heels had the lead for every second of the game. After UNC got a big early lead, the Blue Devils would respond, making it close on multiple occasions. However, when they made a run, North Carolina took it right back to them. UNC only trailed Duke for 16 seconds the entire season.

Game Story

Cormac Ryan. The transfer was on fire from start to finish. He scored nine of the team’s first 15 points and finished the game with 31, a career high! Harrison Ingram also had a big game, taking advantage of matchups and dominating Duke for a second time this year. No other Tar Heel scored in double figures, but everyone contributed to a balanced performance. The 14 bench points added to a big night.

Top Performances

Cormac Ryan- 31 points on 8-12 shooting.

Harrison Ingram- 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Armando Bacot- 9 points and 8 rebounds.

Jae’Lyn Withers- 6 points and 8 rebounds.

Seth Trimble- 6 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals.

ACC Regular Season Champs

With that, North Carolina wins the ACC regular season title and will be the #1 seed in the ACC tournament. It is the first outright regular season title win for UNC since 2017.

Next up: A Thursday game in the ACC tournament at noon.
