Another week of UNC climbing in the poll!
After another week of wins, North Carolina has reached the top three. They haven’t lost in over a month, and are rolling right now. UNC is still the only ACC team with no conference losses and has a two-game lead at the moment. They look to continue that tonight when they face Wake Forest.
Last Week
Louisville
The Tar Heels started off hot against Louisville, and it looked like it was going to be a blowout. Coming out of halftime, the Cardinals got hot, hitting nine of its first ten shots to cut the lead to five. North Carolina then fought right back, pushing the lead and eventually winning by 16.
Boston College
In a game where 10 different players saw real minutes, the Tar Heels and Eagles battled. It was rough and a very ugly game, but UNC never backed down. Another defensive clinic, North Carolina again didn’t give up more than 70 points for the eighth game in a row.
Still Building
Scarier for other programs? UNC still hasn’t put it all together yet. The Tar Heels are rolling and still improving on different aspects. A full game like the first half against Tennessee has yet to be seen. If North Carolina can reach its peak, there is no limit to what they can do.
Next up: Wake Forest, tonight at 7 p.m.
