UNC is in his top 9!

Junior Isiah Harwell has been recruited by North Carolina for some time now. The top-ten recruit just made a cut list that includes the Tar Heels. With UNC being perceived as one of his favorites, we will see how this process plays out.

Recruiting Profile

A 6’6, 200-pound shooting guard, Harwell is one of the best prospects in the 2025 class. He is ranked 7th in the 247Sports rankings. Originally from Idaho, Harwell now plays for powerhouse Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Utah. He is a player who can score in bunches. Harwell is an impressive shooter that will bolster any roster’s perimeter presence.

Top 9

His list of top nine schools: Alabama, Baylor, Cal, Gonzaga, Houston, Idaho State, Texas, UCLA, and the Tar Heels. A few months ago, the recruiting world thought this would be a UNC vs. Gonzaga battle. That is a very good list and a nice gesture to include a home state school.

Hubert’s Pursuit

Coach Hubert Davis has visited Harwell and watched him play. The two are very familiar with each other. With a lot of time left before this recruitment has to close, Davis will surely go and see him more. This is a player to keep an eye on, with UNC battling for his talents.

Let’s hope UNC can reel him in!
