Portal season begins…

North Carolina tight end Kamari Morales will enter the transfer portal. He was a nice piece in a room loaded with talent. Wherever he goes, that team is getting a good player. UNC will likely have to go into the portal themselves, as Bryson Nesbit could go pro and John Copenhaver participated in senior day activities.

Morales Career

Thus far, Morales had been a really solid blocking tight end but had the skill to get open. On the season, he had 11 catches for 158 yards. His best season was as a junior, where he brought in 29 passes for 358 yards and four touchdowns. One of Morales’s best games was the thriller at Duke last season. He scored two touchdowns and was a big reason for the win.

In his career, Morales had a total of 67 catches for 761 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Out of High School

Morales was a three-star prospect, ranked 980th in the 2018 class. He is capable of being a number-one tight end. Morales will likely end up in a good situation where he will see more time and targets.

Buckle up, more of this news will be coming. With how the season has played out, it is rumored the Tar Heels are set to lose a lot of guys. The portal can make or break a team.
