Another pickup for UNC.
North Carolina has landed another offensive lineman in the transfer portal. This time, it was Zach Greenberg, who was previously at Muhlenberg College. They are a Division III, private school. He is the seventh transfer to join the Tar Heels this offseason.
Greenberg is from Livingston, New Jersey. This year, he made the All-Region 2 second-team. In 2021, he was named to the third-team. Greenberg was also All-Centennial Conference first-team in 2021 and 2023. In 2022, he was injured after three games. Greenberg adds depth and skill to an offensive line that needs it. He was very good for Muhlenberg, and now looks to do it at a higher level. In his commitment post, he wrote, “On to the next chapter.. Incredibly grateful for an amazing four years at Muhlenberg. Beyond excited for what’s next. #goheels”
Portal Class
Greenberg is the seventh member of North Carolina’s portal class. He joins quarterback Max Johnson, running back Darwin Barlow, tight end Jake Johnson, offensive linemen Austin Blaske and Howard Sampson, and safety Jakeen Harris. There will likely be more to join, as UNC still has multiple areas to improve on, especially with all of the departures. UNC has now taken three offensive linemen and could add more in the near future.
Welcome to Chapel Hill, Zach!
