UNC moves up again!

North Carolina is up a spot in the newest AP Poll. The Tar Heels are having a solid season. Now, ACC play is all that is left, as Charleston Southern was the last non-conference game for UNC. Already 1-0 in the ACC, North Carolina has a three-game away stretch to start conference play.

Moving Up

UNC is up to #8 in the country. Only playing once last week against Charleston Southern, the Tar Heels win could only keep them set or move up due to other teams losses. That is exactly what happened, as Arizona took a bad loss to Stanford that moved the Wildcats from #4 to #10. Over the next week, North Carolina has two big opportunities to further boost its resume.

On the Road Again

The Tar Heels resume ACC play this week. UNC beat Florida State in the first conference game in mid-December. Now, North Carolina will start the year at Pittsburgh, then at Clemson, and at NC State. Pitt has four losses, and in their last game, they were not able to get past Syracuse. They have played UNC tough over the last few years. Clemson still only has one loss and is going to be a tough out. PJ Hall is playing like a star and will be a tough matchup for the Heels.

A lot of opportunity coming up!
