UNC is working through some injuries.

Four Tar Heels are dealing with injuries at the moment. Two are trying to get back into game shape and will be out for a few weeks, and two are day-to-day and being monitored. North Carolina heads to Pittsburgh on Saturday and will need all of the bodies it can have.

Day-To-Day

Willie Lampkin: The offensive lineman did not play last week, as he was noticeably limping before the game. He had been one of UNC’s best linemen this season, playing aggressive and mean, something you want from that position. The transfer from Coastal Carolina has become a fan favorite. His injury is listed as lower-body.

Gavin Blackwell: After making a big catch in Saturday’s game, Blackwell came up looking wobbly. He hit the ground pretty hard and never returned to action. The wide receiver has been playing well over the last two weeks. He is listed as having an upper-body injury.

Both will be looked at throughout the week and will hopefully be ready to go on Saturday.

No Time Frame Announced

Lejond Cavazos: The Ohio State transfer played much of last year and was looking at a depth role before getting hurt in the pre-season. Cavazos injury is listed as lower-body and must be progressing well.

RJ Grigsby: The freshman offensive lineman has been banged up and out for some time. UNC is working him back.

Both will hopefully become available in a few weeks.
