UNC faces Clemson in a challenging environment.

It is almost time for a rematch of last year’s ACC championship game. North Carolina got off to a good start in that one until backup and current Clemson starting quarterback Cade Klubnik was put in the game. After UNC scored first, the Tigers ran away with the game. Although North Carolina had a chance to cut the game to one score before halftime, a 98-yard pick-6 ended any chance of a Tar Heel victory.

Looking for Redemption

Most of North Carolina’s starters played in that ACC championship game last season. There should be a lot of motivation to win this game. Death Valley is not an easy place to play, but an upperclassmen-led UNC team should be prepared. North Carolina struggled to score in last year’s game. That shouldn’t be the case today. Omarion Hampton has been on a tear this season and should be leaned on until UNC can’t anymore. The Tar Heel wide receivers are more than capable of dominating a game, and Drake Maye is going to be a top-five pick for a reason.

Tigers Turning it Around?

Clemson’s offense had a rough October. However, so far in November, they have put 31 points on Notre Dame and 42 on Georgia Tech. Many of their early struggles were due to turnovers. Will UNC be able to force any? It will be up to UNC to get stops.

It won’t be easy, but this is a winnable game for the Tar Heels.
