The UNC 2025 recruiting class continues to add members!

Class of 2025 interior offensive lineman Trey Blue committed to North Carolina on Sunday. He had visited for the Tar Heels game against Minnesota. Blue is a local recruit from Cary, North Carolina! The Tar Heels have put an emphasis on keeping in-state talent home since Mack Brown returned in 2019. This is North Carolina’s second in-state player of the class.

Recruiting Profile

Although not yet ranked, Blue is a massive 6’5, 310-pound lineman. That is a great size for his position and will be big for college as well. Blue already has the height and weight of a college guard. According to his MaxPreps account, he has played both guard and tackle in high school. He held offers from Maryland, Charlotte, NC Central, and Bethune-Cookman. Blue has played varsity football for the last two years at Cary High School. He is getting to play solid talent, being that Cary is a 4A high school.

Current 2025 Class

Blue is the third commitment for the 2025 class. He joins quarterback Bryce Baker and defensive end Kamden Laudenslager. Blue’s commitment gives UNC an early start on offensive linemen, a position of need in 2025. With visits continuing, there will be many more players to commit in the coming weeks.

Congratulations and welcome to Chapel Hill, Trey Blue!
