UNC flexed on the Seminoles yesterday.

In North Carolina’s first game in the ACC tournament, they faced Florida State for the third time this season. Although the Seminoles gave UNC trouble in the regular season, this one was not close. The Tar Heels will face Pittsburgh in the semi-finals today.

Game Story

North Carolina looked like a team desperate for a win. Elliot Cadeau was diving on the floor for loose balls, and the whole team hustled and defended well. The first 15 minutes of the game were close, but then the Tar Heels went on big runs over and over. UNC entered halftime with a 16-point lead and didn’t let up in the second half, winning by 25 points.

It is hard to beat a team three times in one season, but North Carolina did it against an athletic Florida State squad. Both of the regular season games were decided by eight points or less.
