The UNC commit set social media ablaze with a highlight dunk!

North Carolina commit Ian Jackson has had an incredible high school season. The senior continues to play at a high level, showing why he is a top 1o player in the 2024 class. Next season, he will be in Chapel Hill as a part of UNC’s freshman group.

Highlight Play

In the video shared by Overtime on social media, Jackson dribbled to the free throw line, stopping and pump-faking, causing the defender to jump by him. He then throws the ball off the backboard, catches it and posterizes a second defender.

There are no shortage of highlights from Jackson. He is a scoring machine that can be a threat on any part of the court.

Stats and More

Jackson has averaged 23.9 points, 3.1 assists, and 6.1 rebounds, while shooting 48.7% in his senior season. He played in the Overtime Elite League.

For Team USA, Jackson won gold medals in the U17 World Cup and the U16 Americas Championship.

Last summer, Jackson played in multiple “all-star” games and dominated against some of the best competition in the country.

Coming Soon

Jackson is one part of North Carolina’s 2024 three-man class that is currently ranked #7 in the nation. He is joined by Drake Powell and James Brown.

He is set to be a big piece of next year’s team.
