The Spring Game isn’t far away.

North Carolina has announced when the annual Spring Game will take place. The Tar Heels are coming off of another 5-loss season where things collapsed down the stretch. However, this game will give everyone an opportunity to see some of the new additions to the team.

Date and Time

This year’s Spring Game will take place on April 20th at 3:00 in Kenan Stadium. Each year, this gives fans a chance to see the newcomers and watch them scrimmage. It is typically laid-back and a good chance to go to Chapel Hill and spend a day. It’s also a chance to go support the team and build some hype around the upcoming season.

Major Changes

  • New defensive coordinator.
  • New defensive line coach.
  • New quarterback room (Connor Harrell and Max Johnson).
  • Transfers (seven in, 19 out so far).
  • 27 incoming freshmen.

There are a lot of questions going into next season, and this game could answer a few. A quarterback battle will likely be a major storyline. Something else to be answered is defensive production. With new coordinators and coaches, what will change, and will the defense improve drastically? Transfers are usually supposed to make an instant impact; will that happen? The Spring Game can provide some insight into those things.

It will be a glimpse into the 2024-2025 season!
