UNC plays in two days, and we have our predictions for the season here!
North Carolina does not play an easy schedule this year, but they have a lot of winnable games. The team is talented enough to make a New Year’s Six Bowl, but will they put it all together? The schedule is a mixed bag, but the Tar Heels have a good shot this season.
(Should Be) Easy Wins
App State- Although still solid, the Mountaineers lost a lot of talent.
Syracuse- Losing talent and your offensive coordinator could make for a tough year.
Virginia- A not great roster coming off of a bad season.
Campbell- An FBS school, but the Camels continue to rise and are a fun watch!
Toss Up
South Carolina- The opener against an SEC school is always tough. The Gamecocks are very athletic.
Minnesota- A roster that should be competitive in the Big 10, Minnesota will be one of UNC’s more interesting opponents.
Pittsburgh- The Panthers always give the Heels a game. Also an away game, Pitt is usually physical.
Miami- Similar to UNC, they have a ton of talent and have to put it together.
Georgia Tech- What should be an easy win, playing in Atlanta has been a big struggle for the Heels in recent years.
Duke- A rivalry game is never easy. It is a home game for UNC, but Duke is coming off a promising year with a lot of pieces back.
NC State- Another rivalry game, NC State always gets up for this game. It is important for the Heels to come out ready for this game in Raleigh.
Likely Loss
Clemson- Playing in Death Valley, the Tigers are one of the best teams in the country. This will be the Heels toughest test.
