Two UNC Commits to Play in McDonald’s All-American Game

The duo will be in Chapel Hill next season.

These two Tar Heels earned a selection to one of high school basketball’s biggest games.

Tonight, the annual McDonald’s All-American game will take place in Houston, Texas. Among those playing will be Drake Powell and Ian Jackson, two 5-star UNC commits. They have both been standout players for their high school and AAU teams, earning them the honor to play in this prestigious event.

 

Tar Heel Commits

Drake Powell– A 5-star wing, Powell is from Pittsboro, North Carolina. He is ranked as the #10 player in high school basketball and the #2 small forward. Over the last year, he has been one of the biggest risers in the rankings.

Ian Jackson– An elite scorer, Jackson is a 5-star shooting guard who has been dominant against some of the best talent in the country. He is ranked #9 overall and the #4 shooting guard.
