Another loss for UNC.

North Carolina wide receiver Kobe Paysour just injured his other foot. He had been working back from a broken foot in October and was potentially eyeing the bowl game for his return. Now, with another injury, he has been ruled out.

Current Injury

According to InsideCarolina, Paysour broke the opposite foot of the one previously injured. This is a new issue that will likely require surgery similar to his other foot. It is a tough break for one of North Carolina’s best players and a key weapon.

Previous Injury

During practice in October, Paysour broke the other foot. He missed the last seven games this season and now will miss the bowl game with the new issue. He had been one of Drake Maye’s top targets before the injury.

Promising Play

In the five games before his injury, Paysour had caught 22 passes for 282 yards and three touchdowns. His speed and shiftiness in the slot had made him a dangerous target. Now, the Tar Heels have to get him ready before the beginning of next season. He will have plenty of time to rehab and heal.

What Now?

UNC will have to continue to lean on its wide receiver depth. The young guys will need to step up with the departures and injuries the Tar Heels have suffered.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
