Walker dominated Miami.

We all know the story: Tez Walker followed the rules and was set to play at UNC. Then the NCAA stepped in. He was deemed ineligible and missed the first four games of the season. After that, the NCAA said they received “new information” and reversed the decision. Other teams are going to wish he was never granted his eligibility. In just his second game with the Tar Heels, Walker shredded a good Miami Hurricanes defense, leading his team to the win.

Walker Arrives

When UNC needed it most, Walker stepped up. On the day, he had six catches for 132 yards and three(!) touchdowns. Miami could not stop him.

  • First Touchdown: 3rd and goal from the 18, Walker jolts across the middle for a score.
  • Second Touchdown: On a deep shot, Walker got behind the secondary, where a perfectly placed ball ended with a 56-yard touchdown.
  • Third Touchdown: On 3rd and 20, he cut across the middle, caught the ball, and outran the defense for another score.

Walker is the deep threat the Tar Heels needed. He forces the defense to not play close, opening up the field for the offense. After all of the unnecessary drama he went through over the last few months, it is nice to see him dominate a solid Miami team.

With Miami down 10, they tried for an onside kick. Who was there to catch it and ice the game for UNC? Tez Walker.
