The Miami guard had a good game against UNC in the first meeting.

When North Carolina hosts Miami tonight, the Hurricanes will be without one of their top guards. It is a tough blow for Miami, as they also missed him when they faced Boston College, Duke, and Georgia Tech- all games that they lost.

Big Loss

According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, Nijel Pack will miss Miami’s game against UNC tonight. He has been dealing with a lower-body injury since mid-February. The Hurricanes have lost their last six games, three of which he was part of.

In their meeting with North Carolina on February 10th, Pack scored 20 points and added three assists in the close loss. 18 of those 20 points came in the first half.

Season Stats

This year, Pack is averaging 13.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists. He is tied for third on the team in scoring, and can get hot at any moment, as we saw in the first half of the first meeting between these two teams.

Projected Starting Lineup for Miami

G- Bensley Joseph

G- Kyshawn George

G- Wooga Poplar

G/W- Matthew Cleveland

C- Norchad Omier

Miami still has a great group of guards that will make for a dangerous game. They have solid depth as well.

Losing Pack has been detrimental to Miami’s tournament hopes.
