Good news for Trimble!

After missing the last two games with an upper-body injury, Seth Trimble is in uniform and will play tonight. His presence has been missed, especially on the defensive side of the ball, with Syracuse and Miami both having guards who had big games.

Update

Trimble is available for the Syracuse game tonight. The sophomore guard has made strides this season, improving his game on offense to add to an already elite defensive presence. His athleticism alone makes a difference in every game.

Tonight, as the Tar Heels matchup with Syracuse, another team that relies on its guards for production, Trimble being on the court is huge. Together, Judah Mintz and JJ Starling combine for 33.4 of the 75.6 points per game their team averages. Trimble is also UNC’s leading scorer off the bench, accounting for 5.6 points per game.

Missing Piece

Trimble has been sorely missed. When he missed the Clemson game, Joe Girard poured in 21 points against the Heels. Earlier in the season, when Trimble played, he only scored five. Miami’s Nijel Pack had a big game as well when Trimble was unavailable, scoring 20 points himself. Although backups have stepped up, a loss and a close call within a week show the importance of having him on the floor.

His presence will be huge tonight.
