UNC takes on Duke tonight in Kenan.

North Carolina and Duke will play their annual rivalry game tonight. The battle for the Victory Bell is one that the Tar Heels have historically dominated, but has gotten closer over the last few years. Last year, it took a touchdown from Drake Maye to Antoine Green with just 16 seconds left to take down the Blue Devils.

What to Watch

  • Duke will be starting their third-string quarterback, Grayson Loftis. He struggled last week against Wake Forest, but because of Duke’s strong run game, they were able to win.
  • Speaking of Duke’s run game, the Blue Devils have very good running backs. Jordan Waters and Jaquez Moore will be a handful for this UNC defense that has struggled as of late.
  • The Blue Devils also have a very strong defense. They have only given up more than 24 points once this season to Florida State.
  • UNC’s wide receivers will have to get separation against a strong Duke secondary.
  • Smart play-calling to set up successful drives.
  • North Carolina has to cut down on penalties.

Senior Sendoff

This is the last time a lot of student-athletes will play in Kenan. There are 30 players participating in senior day festivities. On top of that, UNC could lose Drake Maye and other juniors to the draft. Beating Duke to end your career at Kenan would be a sweet way to go.

The game starts at 8 p.m. in Kenan Stadium.
