Just three teams are left undefeated in the ACC.

With each ACC team having played at least three conference games after today, three teams remain undefeated in league play. Those three all reside in the Tar Heel state: North Carolina, NC State, and Wake Forest. Each has gotten to this point in very different ways.

The Three

North Carolina: The Tar Heels sit at #8 in the country with an 11-3 record. They are tied for having played the most Quad 1 games in the country. The Heels are 4-3 in those games. ACC wins over Florida State, Pitt, and Clemson have many looking at the Heels as one of the favorites in the conference.

NC State: The Pack have played three Quad 1 games and lost all of them. Ole Miss, Tennessee, and BYU have all given them more than they could handle. In conference, NC State has beaten Boston College, Notre Dame, and Virginia. They have a favorable ACC schedule through the rest of the season.

Wake Forest: Steve Forbes continues to do a nice job in Winston-Salem. The Demon Deacons are 11-3 as well, but have only played one Quad 1 game and lost it. They dominated Virginia Tech and beat both Miami and Boston College in close contests. One-time UNC target and Gonzaga transfer Hunter Sallis has been great for Wake this season.

Either UNC or NC State will lose their undefeated status on Wednesday night.
