Another fun year is in store for Carolina!
In this season’s yearly ‘late night’ event, North Carolina had a bunch of fresh faces. Transfers and freshmen make up the majority of the team, something the Tar Heels are not used to. Even so, the team seemed to bond well and already had good chemistry.
Recruits Who Attended
Drake Powell: Number 4 player in the 2024 class. Committed to UNC.
James Brown: Number 93 player in the 2024 class. Committed to UNC.
Jackson Keith: Number 67 player in the 2025 class.
Rivers Knight: Class of 2026
Scrimmage Notes and Highlights
Elliot Cadeau: As advertised. Cadeau looked the part and is sure to be a playmaker. He got to the lane, scored and hit two big threes late to cut the lead for his team. On top of this, his much talked about passing ability was on full display. There were highlight passes and assists.
Armando Bacot: A slimmed-down Bacot gave UNC what he always has: a good low post presence. He scored easily near the rim and rebounded well. He also hit a nice jumper near the baseline.
R.J. Davis: Leading his team in points, Davis showed off what we know him as: a good scoring guard who can get points all over the court.
Paxson Wojcik: Played cleanup and filled the stat sheet with rebounds and assists. His presence on this team could be huge.
Cormac Ryan: Ryan was where he needed to be at all times. He found his spots on offense, and although some of his shots weren’t falling, still scored 11 points. Ryan is another veteran presence that will be big for Carolina.
Harrison Ingram: Showing off why he is called a ‘point forward’, Ingram did well passing. He also filled the stat sheet and will bring a lot to this team.
Zayden High: An impressive debut, High scored well down low and played very physically. He made his presence felt throughout the entire scrimmage.
Seth Trimble: Did not play due to injury.
This team has a good mix of veteran players and newcomers. Although many are new to playing with one another, they seem to have chemistry, and this should be a solid Carolina team!
