North Carolina’s season comes to an end.

UNC and Alabama played a barn burner. Fast-paced, and with the teams trading punches, it was the Crimson Tide who came out on top.

Game Story

The first half was a lot of fun. Mostly clean, the game was played fast with the teams exchanging leads. North Carolina was up by 10 at one point, but Alabama’s offense closed the gap. The Tar Heels ended the half up by eight.

Frustrating is the best way to describe the second half. It was back-and-forth as well, but Alabama big Grant Nelson took over late. At one point, he went on a 7-0 run by himself. A late and-one for Nelson ended up being the difference.

RJ Davis had a rough night, shooting 4-20, and the team altogether shot just 38.5%. Anytime your best player is that off, it will be tough to win.

Final: UNC- 87 | Alabama- 89

Hurting Heels

That was the last game for a number of UNC players. Armando Bacot, Cormac Ryan, Paxson Wojcik, Creighton Lebo, Rob Landry, and Duwe Farris put on the North Carolina jersey for the last time. Each impacted the program in different ways and should be celebrated.

Another group of Tar Heels will have a decision to make regarding their futures with the team.

UNC finishes the year 29-8, winning the ACC Regular Season Championship.
