The new AP Poll is out, and a huge matchup awaits.

The best rivalry in sports, North Carolina vs. Duke, will be a battle between two top 10 teams. Both have a game before Saturday night, with Duke going to Virginia Tech tonight and UNC headed to Georgia Tech tomorrow. No matter the results of those two, all eyes will be on the game in Chapel Hill on Saturday.

New Poll

This week, North Carolina remained at #3, while Duke jumped seven spots to #7 after nearly losing a home game to Clemson. If not for a foul call with a second left, the Blue Devils would’ve lost that game. Now, these two play for the first time this year with a lot on the line. The Tar Heels are still undefeated in ACC play, while Duke has two conference losses. This game will have implications on seeding and the ACC race. Another storyline will be current frontrunner for ACC Player of the Year, RJ Davis, against preseason ACC Player of the Year, Kyle Filipowski.

Bragging Rights

As always, these two want to beat each other more than anything. The fans will be riled up, and Franklin Street will be on standby. After North Carolina won two of the three games in the 2021-2022 season, including the Final Four game, Duke responded with a sweep last year. You can already feel the tension for this game, and it’s only Monday.

First, the Tar Heels will look to down Georgia Tech.
