UNC gets Rucker for another year!

North Carolina jack Kaimon Rucker will be back for a fifth and final season. He has been one of the most consistent and top-graded players for the Tar Heels over the last few seasons. Rucker will also play in the bowl game. He made his decision with a video posted on social media.

One More Go

Rucker has been nearly unstoppable over the last few seasons. He has racked up accolades and continues to be productive on a defense that needs it. This year, he had his best season yet, accumulating 56 tackles, 8.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. 31% of the UNC defense’s sacks were by Rucker.

He was named Second-Team All-ACC this season.

Bowl Game

Rucker committed to playing in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl last week. Most of the UNC defense will be available. Rucker playing only boosts North Carolina’s chances to win. His pass rushing-ability was on full display this year. He is constantly held, and he would likely have doubled his production if he wasn’t. The problem is that it goes uncalled most of the time. Any play you watch, an offensive lineman will likely be holding on to Rucker. He is disruptive and exactly what the Tar Heels need.

Rucker’s last season will be special!
