Ian Jackson continues to shine!

In one of the most famous venues in basketball lore, Rucker Park, SLAM held their Summer Classic. It featured high school stars such as Ace Bailey, Dylan Harper, Cooper Flagg, and, of course, Ian Jackson. The two squads were split between Team Ian (Ian Jackson) and Team Dylan (Dylan Harper). After a long game where not much defense was played, Cooper Flagg hit a three-pointer to send the game to overtime. This extension of the game allowed Team Ian to eventually get the win in overtime.

MVP

Not only did his team get the win, but Jackson scored 45(!) points and took home the MVP trophy. As we have written about before, Jackson is one of the best pure scorers in high school ball. He is elite at all three levels of scoring. He has great athleticism to pair with a nice jumper and an improving three-point shot.

Unreal Summer

This summer, Jackson dominated the Adidas AAU circuit. His shot looked great, and he had multiple high-scoring games. He has a chance to be the best pure scorer to come to North Carolina in a while. Jackson also played on Team USA this year. He continues to be ranked as a top-10 player in the 2024 class.

As Jackson continues to dominate, North Carolina fans should be excited about the future of the program.
