Huge goals for Ian Jackson!

North Carolina is getting one of the best players in the country when Ian Jackson steps on campus in 2024. The New York guard is a pure scorer. He dominated high school ball, then did the same with AAU. Then, against the best talent in all of high school basketball, he won MVP of the game. Now, Jackson has stated his goals.

What’s the Plan?

On YouTube, there is a docuseries covering the future Tar Heel. Titled “Captain Jack: The Ian Jackson Experience”, it covers him playing ball as well as exploring some of his personal life. In episode one, he says, “I’m gonna tell you what’s gonna happen, we’re going to go to NC, we’re going to win a natty, and then i’m out of there. Natty first year!” Jackson has long been thought of as a one-and-done, so that is no surprise, but it seems that he has high expectations for his season in Chapel Hill.

Current Profile

Currently, Jackson is ranked 10th overall in the 2024 class. He is a 5-star and picked North Carolina over Kentucky and Arkansas. As we have talked about before, Jackson is truly an elite prospect. His ability to score is unmatched, and he can do it from anywhere on the court. In the Slam! Classic, Jackson matched up against a team full of 5-stars, scored 45 points, and won MVP of the game.

UNC fans should be very excited for Jackson!
