Ingram had a fantastic week!

North Carolina forward Harrison Ingram has been named the ACC Player of the Week. After his performances against Georgia Tech and Duke, he was more than deserving of the award. Ingram has been a perfect fit for the Tar Heels after transferring into the program this summer.

ACC Player of the Week

With averages of 14.5 points and 13 rebounds over the two games, Ingram was rewarded. He dominated Duke, as they had no answer for his versatility.

Georgia Tech

Although UNC lost, Ingram still impressed. He had a rough shooting night but finished with 8 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Duke

Ingram was unstoppable against the Blue Devils. He shot 8/12 overall and 5/9 from three, scored 21 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and had 4 steals. His hustle was also something to praise, as he made multiple big plays on the night.

Transfer Impact

Ingram has been one of the best players in college basketball this season. His impact is felt every night, and his versatility has made him hard to stop. Ingram has also taken a load off of Armando Bacot with his rebounding. UNC averages 41.3 rebounds per game, good for 22nd in the nation. That duo combines for 18.9 of those (45%). Ingram’s intensity and energy have been huge for a team that lacked that last season.

Tuesday night, Ingram and the Tar Heels take on Clemson.
