What to expect?

Mayes coaches and many in the media believe he is capable of a Heisman season. With all of the tools to do it, along with great skill position players to throw to, Maye has the ability to bring Chapel Hill its first Heisman.

After his stellar rookie campaign, Maye is seen as a top Quarterback Prospect. He has shown and advanced ability to read the field and find his target. He makes quick reads, and has a cannon for an arm. Maye has shown that he can fit the ball into tight windows with ease.

On top of his throwing traits, he is a fantastic runner. Rushing for 698 yards and 7 touchdowns, Maye has shown he is more than capable of getting away from pressure. When he sees the chance, Maye can get out of the pocket, scramble and make the big play with his legs.

Now that Maye has a full season under his belt, another year with countless awards and double digit wins is expected. He is fully capable of getting the team to another ACC Championship game, this time bringing home the conference title.

NFL Outlook:

Fans, media, scouts and NFL Teams alike have their eyes on Maye. Many believe he will be a sure-fire Top 10 Pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Most scouts and much of the media believe he is either QB 1 or 2, battling for that spot with Southern Californias Caleb Williams. He has gotten comparisons to Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers.

Another big season is likely for the Heisman hopeful.
