Announcing legend Dick Vitale has given a look into how he thinks the ranking for this coming season should be.

One of the greatest college basketball announcers of all time, Dick Vitale, shared his preseason top 25 list on ESPN. Always a character, he went through a couple of teams and his reasoning for ranking them.

Vitale opened the article with, “As you know, I eat, sleep and breathe college basketball year-round. And this year is no exception. Now that the transfer portal has settled down and teams are finishing up summer tours, I thought I’d share my projections for the upcoming season. So, let’s dive in.”

UNC’s Ranking

Vitale decided to put the Tar Heels at 15. This is around where most people are projecting North Carolina to start. A bunch of fresh new faces and a season full of disappointment last year are most likely the reasons why. There is no doubt UNC is talented, but they have to put it all together.

Other Notable Rankings

#1: Kansas

#2: Duke

#10: Tennessee

#12: Arizona

#13: Kentucky

#16: Miami
