The recruits are starting to pile up for the Tar Heels!
North Carolina landed its 21st commitment of the 2024 class on Thursday. 3-star wide receiver Keenan Jackson chose UNC over offers from Duke, NC State, Virginia Tech, Maryland, West Virginia, and others. At 6’3, he has good size for an outside receiver and can be a red-zone threat. Being from North Carolina, Jackson joins a long list of in-state commitments during this cycle. Jackson is a two-time All-County and two-time All-Conference player. This coming season, he will play for Weddington instead of Cuthbertson. It will be a step up in competition as he is moving from 3A to 4A.
Current Rankings
As it stands, UNC has the 16th ranked class in the country and is second in the ACC. However, with a decent crop of recruits preparing to make their choice, the Tar Heels may see that ranking rise. When North Carolina held a recruiting event this past weekend, it seemed to resonate with the players in attendance. Although there is no way North Carolina could take all of them, we should expect to see several find their way to Chapel Hill. Recruiting is fluid, and the 2024 class still has a full season ahead of them. Because of this, the rankings will continue to change as time goes on.
There is reason for excitement in Chapel Hill. The recruits who are committed seem to be trying to sway guys to Chapel Hill.
