White has been phenomenal!

Former Tar Heel point guard Coby White is on fire. Fresh off of a 3-year, 39-million-dollar contract, he is finally seeing true opportunity as a starter. Now, he has the NBA on notice as he continues to dominate in a better role. The Chicago Bulls are getting their money’s worth!

On a Tear

Before this season, White had come off the bench nearly his whole career. This year, he has been a starter but is playing beside two-ball dominant players: Zach Lavine and Demar Derozan. Lavine got hurt and hasn’t played since November 28th. Him not playing has allowed White to take on a bigger role. In the seven games since then, White has shown the Bulls what they’ve been missing out on.

Nov 30th vs. the Bucks: 23 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds.

Dec 2nd vs. the Pelicans: 31 points, 6 assists, 9 rebounds.

Dec 6th vs. the Hornets: 19 points, 5 assists, 9 rebounds.

Dec 8th vs. the Spurs: 24 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds.

Dec 11th vs. the Bucks: 33 points, 4 assists, 6 rebounds.

Dec 12th vs. the Nuggets: 27 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds.

Dec 14th vs. the Heat: 26 points, 11 assists, 7 rebounds.

He deserves a bigger role.

Time at UNC

At North Carolina, White was electric. He was quick, could get to the rim, and was a lethal shooter. White’s speed made him a perfect point guard in Roy Williams system. With UNC, White averaged 16.1 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.5 rebounds.
