Two Tar Heels celebrate another year today!

Both Brady Manek and Elliot Cadeau got older today! Manek, a UNC legend, and Cadeau, a future Tar Heel legend, are separated by six years.

Manek

Now 25 years old, Manek was one of the best transfers in North Carolina history. He was the leader of a UNC team that had an improbable championship run. Him being vocal and also his three-point shooting were two of the biggest reasons the Tar Heels made the run that they did. Manek averaged 15.1 points and 6.7 rebounds that season. His quick release made it tough for defenders to guard him. Manek helped UNC beat Duke in both Coach K’s last game in Cameron Indoor Stadium and the Final Four. His impact is one that will not soon be forgotten, as he is a beloved figure of North Carolina basketball!

Cadeau

The freshman reclassified and will join the team this season. At 19 years old, he is one of the best prospects UNC has had in recent years. He dominated the high school and AAU scenes over the last year. Now at North Carolina, he is seen as the best passer the Tar Heels have had since Kendall Marshall. His game is going to make a lot of fans happy, as he is expected to start and will be a big reason for UNC’s success this coming season.

Here’s to hoping this is their best year yet!
