A lot of eyes were on the UNC football team today!
There is so much going on for North Carolina football in the build-up to their game against South Carolina. Today, the Tar Heels had things going on throughout the day. At 10 A.M., they held a press conference on the ACC Network. At 12:15, Drake Maye was on SportsCenter for an interview. At 3:30, they are live with the ACC Network, and at 4 and 7 P.M., an All-Access episode covering the team will air.
Press Conference
This covered a multitude of topics with Head Coach Mack Brown weighing in. He mentioned that he thought the defense would be good and that they needed to be more aggressive in order to stop the run. Brown said that he felt good about the secondary and the new coaches guiding them. He also mentioned that he thinks Drake Maye will have an even better season than the last.
Another topic covered was NIL. Brown stated that it was harder to coach nowadays with so much going on. The constant movement and dealing with it all makes everyone have to multitask.
Maye on SportsCenter
The star quarterback said that the South Carolina game would set the tone for the season. He mentioned how big of a game it is for UNC and that the team needed to show all of the work they have put in during the offseason.
Live with the ACC and the All-Access pieces will both be good for the brand. Getting eyes on the team is something you want to do, as it builds hype and helps in recruiting.
