Bacot has done so much for UNC.

CBS released their preseason All-American picks Wednesday. On that list, Armando Bacot was named to the first-team. He is a legend in Chapel Hill and has stated how much he loves the school and its fans. Bacot is North Carolina’s all-time leader in rebounds and double-doubles. He has been a machine since he arrived on campus. However, his impact transcends basketball.

Legacy

Entering his last season for the Tar Heels, Bacot is leaving behind a fantastic career. As previously mentioned, he holds two all-time records and looks to make them untouchable this season. We may never see anyone get close to his rebounding record again. On top of this, he has been named All-ACC three times and led North Carolina to the championship game in 2022. Bacot has been a great basketball player, but also a fantastic ambassador for the university. His love for UNC is evident every time he steps on the court. He is a winner at heart and makes it known with his play.

Next Seasons Expectations

Bacot has been a dominant big man for a while now. Knowing it is his last season, we may see the best version of him yet. We said it above, but will say it again now: with his love for the school and fans, his last ride is going to be special.

Impact Off the Court

Along with thrilling UNC fans with his on-court play, Bacot has done so much for the community. You will see him doing fan meetups, charity work, and showing up at events that affect those going through hard times. These are things that make a real difference and transform you from a basketball legend to a beloved member of the community. One thing is for sure: Bacot will always be a favorite in Chapel Hill.

Lets enjoy his final season, as Bacot has been an incredible Tar Heel!
